After years of private heartache and personal growth, Fox News’ Ainsley Earhardt is finally in a place of peace, purpose, and love — and she’s sharing details about how she got there. In an intimate new interview, the Fox & Friends co-host opened up about her engagement to longtime friend and fellow Fox News personality Sean Hannity, revealing how their love story bloomed after both navigated painful divorces.

While the couple kept their relationship under wraps for years, it’s now clear that their bond is deep, genuine, and built on mutual support — starting with the simple way Hannity greets her every morning: “Sunshine.”

“He calls me that because I wake up America and I’m always smiling,” Ainsley said from her Park Avenue apartment, smiling herself as she reflected on how far she’s come.

From Pain to Peace

Ainsley finalized her divorce from former NFL quarterback Will Proctor in 2019, a difficult chapter that forced her to rethink what happiness and family really mean. The couple had married in 2012 after a blind date and welcomed daughter Hayden in 2015.

“I was a really strong Christian, and I wanted to be married forever to one person,” she said. “Life didn’t work out that way for me.”

Despite the heartbreak, she says she prioritized creating a peaceful, loving home for her daughter — even if that meant letting go of the traditional family structure she had once dreamed of.

“I wanted [Hayden] to be in a happy home, not just one I stayed in because we were married,” she explained.

Today, she and Proctor co-parent Hayden in Manhattan. He handles morning school drop-offs, while Ainsley picks her up after work. It’s a rhythm that works — and one built on mutual respect for their daughter’s well-being.

Love in Unexpected Places

While Ainsley worked to rebuild her life, Sean Hannity was going through a quiet transformation of his own. Few knew the longtime Fox News host had gone through a divorce as well — a fact Ainsley didn’t even realize when they first began working closely together.

“It was very private,” she said of Hannity’s split.

Their friendship began on set and grew steadily, with Hannity providing quiet, steady support during some of Ainsley’s hardest days.

“He was just there for me when I was going through a really hard time,” she recalled. “We just enjoyed each other’s company, and I fell in love with him.”

In December, Hannity proposed in a candlelit church ceremony just before Christmas — a romantic and deeply meaningful gesture that sealed their next chapter.

They plan to keep their upcoming wedding private and intimate, with only their children in attendance.

“There will definitely be a prenup,” Ainsley noted with a laugh. “It’s not romantic, but divorce happens.”

Life in Two Worlds

The couple now splits time between New York City and Palm Beach, Florida. Ainsley describes their weekends together as centered on faith and family, with brunch after church being a cherished tradition.

“We always do a family brunch after church on Sunday and then Hayden and I fly back,” she shared. “I love my New York life too.”

Despite their high-profile careers, Ainsley and Sean continue to keep much of their relationship low-key. When they first became a couple, they sought approval from their Fox News bosses to avoid workplace complications.

“I really want your support because I’m crazy about this guy,” Ainsley recalled saying at the time.

Now, the pair isn’t hiding their relationship — but they’re not parading it either. They’re choosing authenticity, healing, and love over spectacle.

Finding Strength in Faith

Much of Ainsley’s resilience, she says, comes from her deep Christian faith. She leaned on it during her divorce, through the loss of her mother in 2022, and in moments when public scrutiny felt too heavy to bear.

“Even in the bad times, I saw God, I knew that He was with me and felt His presence and it lifted me up and carried me through,” she said.

That faith — and her ability to find joy again — has become the foundation of her new life.

“I learned a lot through it all — not to be judgmental. Things happen and you roll with the punches,” she said. “Sometimes you can feel alone during those dark times, especially when you’re in the public spotlight, but life is great now. It’s a rollercoaster and it can be chaotic, but I’m loving every second of it.”

A New Chapter, A Lasting Legacy

As the longest-running host in cable news history, Sean Hannity continues to dominate primetime. But beyond the ratings and headlines, he’s found something — and someone — truly meaningful in Ainsley.

Their story isn’t just about two public figures finding love. It’s about second chances, surviving heartbreak, and choosing to build something real — one moment, one morning “Sunshine,” at a time.
